YoungPetro 22nd Issue – Spring 2019

Dear Friends,

I am honored to present you the newest spring edition of YoungPetro. Spring is a beautiful time when nature comes to life, which encourages us to take on new challenges. Thanks to the natural sunlight we have more energy. Spring influences us in a positive way, it awakens the desire to start something new, a desire for great changes. These changes also affected YoungPetro office. I would like to thank the previous chief editor Patryk and his team for handing over the magazine and for their huge contribution to the previous editions. Together with the new editorial staff, I will be happy to continue their work and constantly try to gain new readers.

For 8 years YoungPetro has been delivering interesting articles about the widely understood oil industry. It provided interviews with outstanding scientists and industry practitioners, as well as scientific studies of students from all over the world. So far, students from technical universities from over 20 different countries have published their articles here. The YoungPetro’s mission is to inspire students to actively participate in the world of oil & gas.

This spring, apart from the new release of YoungPetro, one more important event will take place. This is the 10th edition of the East Meets West Congress. During the last years, it has become a popular international student event organized by AGH students. The idea of EMW is to gather people from different parts of the world, from different nationalities, different universities and companies in one place – Cracow. After all, we are all part of one great Oilfield Industry family.

As a new chief editor, it is a pleasure to encourage you to take a look at the spring edition of YoungPetro. I hope that its content will be a source of positive inspiration for your future education and work.

Anna Orchel
Editor in Chief
